How Bruins plan to honor Krejci for 1,000th career game originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
David Krejci is the seventh player in Boston Bruins history to play in 1,000 games with the organization.
Krejci reached that milestone Monday when the B’s hosted the Philadelphia Flyers. He joined Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Don Sweeney, Ray Bourque, Wayne Cashman and Johnny Bucyk as the only B’s to accomplish the feat.
The veteran forward received a standing ovation from the TD Garden crowd early in the first period when it was announced that it was his 1,000th NHL game.
