Rangers fans, the wait to watch Patrick Kane in the red, white and blue is nearly over.
New York traded for Kane on Tuesday, giving the team another high-end winger. The longtime Blackhawks star had a full no-trade clause and wanted to only go to New York, resulting in a low cost for the Rangers to acquire him.
Kane, 34, skated in 54 games this season with Chicago. He registered 16 goals and 29 assists, good for 45 points. The American superstar comes to New York riding a four-game point streak, with seven goals and 10 points in that span.
Kane was not available for the Rangers game on Wednesday against the Flyers. Will Kane be available to play on Thursday? Here’s the latest on his status.
