The Jets drafted Lundmark in the second round (51st overall) in the 2019 NHL draft and the 24-year-old has been playing the Jets’ AHL affiliate since the 2021-22 season. In his AHL career, Lundmark has played 210 games scoring 14 goals and 54 points.
Through 22 games this season, he’s recorded two goals and six points. His offensive numbers in the AHL are impressive but what Lundmark is known for is his defensive abilities. Listed at 6’2, 201 lbs, Lundmark uses his size and reach to prevent zone entries and kill cycle plays. He’s also a very capable puck mover who rarely gets caught out of position.
With Dylan Samberg still on the injured reserve and Logan Stanley out once again, Lundmark will serve as an emergency defenseman if the Jets run into injury problems on the back end. Lundmark is skating during the team’s warmup against the Toronto Maple Leafs but isn’t expected to make his NHL debut just yet.
Nikolaj Ehlers and Adam Lowry are on the ice for warm-up in Toronto.

The young Moose players have proved to be vital pieces to the Jets as they deal with the ups and downs of health issues during an NHL season and Lundmark could be the next player to join the growing list.
