Seattle Kraken prospect Jani Nyman will replace Cale Fleury as the Coachella Valley Firebirds’ AHL All-Star representative.
The 20-year-old forward has scored 17 goals and 29 points in 44 games in his rookie campaign, earning his first AHL All-Star nod. He leads all rookies in the AHL in goals scored. The 6’4 winger will be replacing Fleury who is currently up with the Kraken in the NHL as they deal with injury issues on their backend.
Nyman’s NHL size and skill has him on pace to earn an NHL call-up very soon. Out of all the young prospects the Kraken have, Nyman is considered one of if not the closest to earning a call-up.
The All-Star event will be taking place today on Feb. 2, and the game will commence on Feb. 3.
