The New York Rangers have reassigned defenseman Connor Mackey to the Hartford Wolf Pack, it was announced Tuesday.
A native of Tower Lakes, Ill., Mackey is in his second season in the Rangers organization, having split time between both the NHL and AHL in 2024-25. While going pointless in two games with New York, Mackey has collected two goals and six points in 22 games with the Wolf Pack.
Signed by the Calgary Flames as an undrafted free agent in 2020, Mackey has played in 42 career NHL games, putting up four goals and 11 points.
Although Mackey has been unable to seize a full-time role with the Rangers, he has been able to prove his value when inserted into the lineup. With the Rangers struggling to find the win column, Mackey could potentially be recalled soon.
