Here’s today’s NHL Nugget – this Wild Wednesday Rewind goes to March 5, 1977, when Marcel Dionne’s Los Angeles Kings faced the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dionne became the first player in Kings history to record a 100-point campaign. Eight years later, on March 5, 1985, the Hockey Hall of Famer made NHL history when it comes to 100-point seasons. Watch the video for the full details.
Dionne finished his NHL career in 1989 with 731 goals, 1,040 assists and 1,771 points in 1,348 games.
