Bundle up, folks. The NHL is going outdoors today.
The Hurricanes host the Capitals in the 2023 Stadium Series. NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium is the venue for all of the action on Saturday night.
Carolina has been one of the best teams in hockey all season long. The club owns the second-best record in the league, trailing only the Bruins while sitting in first in the Metropolitan Division.
On the other hand, Washington is holding onto the final Wild Card spot in the East and are fifth in the Metro Division. The Caps are going to be without leading goal scorer and captain Alex Ovechkin, who is taking time away from the team with the passing of his father, Mikhail.
