The Buffalo Sabres have announced that defenseman Jacob Bryson will not be in the lineup against the Vegas Golden Knights due to an illness.

Bryson, 27, has appeared in 24 games this season with the Sabres, posting three assists, four hits, 31 blocks, and eight penalty minutes.
With Bryson not being able to play, the Sabres also announced that defenseman Dennis Gilbert will replace him in the lineup.
Gilbert, 28, last played for the Sabres on Dec. 20 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 12 games this season, the 6-foot-2 defenseman has one assist, 27 penalty minutes, 31 hits, and a minus-1 rating.
