The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled Matt Murray and sent Dennis Hildeby to their AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies.
Murray has a 4-1-3 record with a .931 SP, 1.85 GAA and one shutout in the AHL this season. He is expected to make his first NHL start since Apr. 2, 2023 tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.
The 30-year-old will fill in for Anthony Stolarz who is out 4-6 weeks due to a knee procedure.
Hildeby has started three games for the Maple Leafs this season and has a 2-1 record with an .875 SP. He has a 2-2-2 record with an .897 and 2.75 GAA in the AHL
The 23-year-old will have the opportunity to play more with the Marlies while the Leafs rely on the veteran presence of Murray.

The Marlies lead the AHL in points percentage and have a 14-4-2-3 record, in large part due to the goaltending of Murray, Hildeby, and Artur Akhtyamov.
The Maple Leafs play Buffalo tonight and host the New York Islanders tomorrow.
The Marlies are on the road against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms tonight before a game against the defending Calder Cup champion Hershey Bears tomorrow.
