The Utah Hockey Club announced three extensions on Wednesday to forward Alex Kerfoot, defenceman Ian Cole and goaltender Karel Vejmelka. This comes days after they also extended defenceman Olli Maatta.

The four extensions were surprising as Utah is on the verge of their first ever franchise playoff berth as they trail just four points behind the Calgary Flames for the second wild card spot. They may look to subtle add a piece or two and ride a morale boost from several players including your leading netminder in Vejmelka. It should help propel Utah in the right direction especially with their upcoming schedule.
