Utah Hockey Club Appears Likely Dark Horse to Make Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Utah Hockey Club announced three extensions on Wednesday to forward Alex Kerfoot, defenceman Ian Cole and goaltender Karel Vejmelka. This comes days after they also extended defenceman Olli Maatta.

The four extensions were surprising as Utah is on the verge of their first ever franchise playoff berth as they trail just four points behind the Calgary Flames for the second wild card spot.
