Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski were caught up in a crash just past halfway through the NASCAR Atlanta race.
Elliott was running 10th in Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway when he got pinched in the quad oval on the frontstretch on lap 150 of 260 to bring out the fifth caution of the race.
Ryan Blaney moved to the middle of the track from the high side, cutting off Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and forcing Stenhouse to check up and into Elliott, who slammed the outside wall.
After the contact with the wall, Elliott could not get moving and was limping his No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet down the frontstretch when he spun out, clipped Corey LaJoie and spun into Brad Keselowski.
Keselowski understood how the crash happened after being shown the crash by a Fox Sports reporter.
”Yeah, that makes sense,” Keselowski said after seeing the replay of the crash.
