William Byron is on the pole for Sunday’s Shriners Children’s 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix.
Byron was the final car on the track for Saturday’s qualifying session and beat Joey Logano by 0.098 seconds with a lap of 26.930 seconds at 133.680 mph.
Hendersonville’s Josh Berry will start fourth. Sunday’s race is the first non-drafting oval race of the 2025 Cup Series regular season.
