Bubba Wallace will throw out the first pitch for the Tennessee baseball game against Xavier on Wednesday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The NASCAR Cup Series driver is making a media tour Wednesday to promote the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 13.
Wallace is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at 5:50 p.m. The game starts at 6 p.m.
Wallace’s history as a Tennessee fan is well-documented. In 2016, he practiced with the football team under then-coach Butch Jones to promote the “Battle at Bristol” against Virginia Tech.
His mom, Desiree, ran track for the Lady Vols and grew up in Knoxville.
