Joey Logano earned a stunning win in the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on the fifth overtime attempt of a wacky finish.
Ross Chastain took the lead from Ryan Blaney during the final restart, and cruised to a two-second lead. But Denny Hamlin ran him down and made the pass before a caution was thrown with two laps to go for an Austin Cindric spin.
From there, a Cup-record five overtime attempts produced Logano as the winner, on his last drops of fuel after a run of more than 100 laps on the final tank of gas.
Christopher Bell led a race-high 131 laps but crashed out of the race with a Lap 227 accident.
