Dillon drove deep through turns 3 and 4 to wreck Logano, who took the lead on the final green-white checkered restart, then turned the surging ahead Hamlin a moment later to secure the lead and the victory.
Dillon goes from 32nd in the points into the playoffs with the victory, though he will have lost any respect between Logano and Hamlin, two fellow drivers locked into the postseason.
