Ryan Truex earned his second victory of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season by winning the Wawa 250 on Friday at Daytona International Speedway.
Truex led at the white flag and continued to through turns 1 and 2 as the caution came out for a spin by AJ Allmendinger. He now has two wins in eight starts as a part-time driver in Joe Gibbs Racing’s Xfinity Series program.
Chandler Smith finished second, with Parker Kligerman (whose contact helped send Allmendinger around) in third.
Ryan Sieg pushes into the top 12 of the playoff standings following a fifth-place finish and a 23rd place finish by Sammy Smith.
