Welcome to another Premier League Saturday with the 2024/25 season really entering its home straight.

Arsenal 0-1 West Ham

Scorers: Bowen 44′

Arsenal came into this London derby trying to claim the win that would take them to within six of leaders Liverpool.

It was the Gunners who were enjoying the majority of the ball early on as Leandro Trossard’s delightful cross couldn’t find Mikel Merino.

Against the run of play West Ham could have taken the lead themselves on 26 minutes but Jarrod Bowen’s effort went just wide.

And it was Bowen who did break the deadlock just before the break as the English winger stooped low to head in.

Into the second half and it was ignominy for Declan Rice who was taken off before the hour mark against his old side.

It got even worse for Arsenal on 72 minutes as Lewis-Skelly received a red card for dragging Kudus down on the halfway line.

Ipswich 1-2 Tottenham

Scorers: Hutchinson 37′; Johnson 19′ 25′

Destiny Udogie returned to the Tottenham side for the first time in two months as Mathys Tel took his place in attack.

Liam Delap flew out of the blocks early on for the hosts and could have scored inside five minutes as his header was flicked off the post.

But it was Spurs who took the lead on 19 minutes as Brennan Johnson tapped in after great work from Son.

Spurs soon doubled their lead as Son again played in Johnson who tapped in unmarked.

Ipswich weren’t deterred however and pulled a goal back as Omari Hutchinson powered in after good work from Delap.

The Tractor Boys thought they had pulled level on the hour mark but Woolfenden’s header was ruled out for offside.

Bournemouth 0-1 Wolves

Scorers: Cunha 36′

A win for Bournemouth here would see Andoni Iraloa’s side go above Manchester City and into fourth place.

Wolves went closest early on as Semedo struck the bottom of the upright from the edge of the box and then Bellegarde forced a brilliant save from Kepa with the follow-up.

Things got more difficult for the hosts on half hour as Illia Zabarnyi was given a red card for a foul on Ait-Nouri after a VAR review.

Wolves then made the most of their mad advantage as Matheus Cunha slotted home from close range.

Fulham 0-2 Crystal Palace

Scorers: Andersen (OG) 37′, Munoz 66′

It was west versus south London at Craven Cottage as Fulham aimed to continue their fine run of form.

In what was a battling first half the first real chance came to Crystal Palace as Maxence Lacroix headed against the post and Joachim Andersen inadvertently poked it in to give the Eagles a lead.

After the break and it was Palace who thought they had doubled their lead but Mateta’s strike was ruled out for offside.

That second goal did come just minutes later as Daniel Munoz fired in at the near post.

Southampton 0-3 Brighton

Scorers: Joao Pedro 23′, Rutter 55′, Mitoma 71′

Brighton travelled the relatively short distance to St Mary’s with Southampton aiming to get only their third win of the campaign.

And it was the Seagulls who went ahead midway through the half as Joao Pedro waltzed in and finished with aplomb.

it got worse for the Saints after the break as Brighton pounced on a defensive error and Rutter struck.

The game was out of sight on 68 minutes as Karou Mitoma breezed into the box and chipped into the back of the net.

Gasps at Goodison

Scorers: Beto 19′, Doucouré 33′; Bruno Fernandes 72′, Ugarte 80′

Manchester United produced a late rally to claim a 2-2 draw at Everton.

David Moyes was looking to get one over on his former side with Everton having won three of their last five games.

It was in-form Beto who had the first chance of the game as the striker got ahead of Matthijs de Ligt but headed straight at Andre Onana.

But just a few minutes later Beto did get that opening goal as he reacted first inside the area and fired in from close range – his fifth in the last four games.

Moyes’s men doubled their advantage just after the half hour mark as Abdoulaye Doucouré jumped highest and headed in after Onana had parried out a Harrison shot.

Into the second half and once again it was Everton who were first to loose balls, pressing harder and just generally on top in every aspect of the play.

Against the run of play though, United pulled a goal back as Bruno Fernandes netted a free kick from the edge of the area.

Amazingly, United then went level with 10 minutes to go as Manuel Ugarte volleyed past Jordan Pickford.

In added time however, Everton thought they had the chance for a winner as Ashley Young was fouled inside the area.

After a VAR check though, the referee deemed it as a dive from the Everton man.
