Spain are heading into half time level with minnows Georgia and owe Rodri a major debt for that.
La Roja were stung on the counterattack when a dangerous cross saw Robin Le Normand turn into his own net following Georgia’s first attack of the game.
Spain pushed and pushed, but were faced with an impressive Giorgi Mamardashvili in the Georgia goal.
That was until Rodri stepped up. The Manchester City man fired home a trademark bullet from outside the penalty area to bring his side level.
Amazingly, it was Spain’s first European Championship goal from outside the penalty area since 2000, a run spanning 55 goals!
Rodri’s goal was Spain’s first EURO goal from outside the box since Raul vs Slovenia in 2000 😳
