Ferran Torres was the star of the show for FC Barcelona as they secured a hard-fought 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
The Spanish international, after coming on as a second-half substitute, went on to score a brace to fire his team to a much-needed victory and all but secure their direct qualification through to the Round of 16.
Set for a start?
Following yet another impressive cameo off the bench, Ferran Torres could be rewarded with a starting berth when Barcelona take on Leganes this weekend, report SPORT.
Since returning from his injury, the former Manchester City forward has been in good nick, scoring in three games in a row now.
Indeed, after finding the back of the net in the 5-1 win over Mallorca, where he started, Ferran scored in the 2-2 draw against Real Betis before his brace at Signal Iduna Park this week.
Manager Hansi Flick has been very impressed with what he has seen from the 24-year-old attacker and sees him as an example for the other players who are on the bench and not getting enough minutes.
Ferran has not had it easy, with there being plenty of doubters and detractors, while the form of Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Raphinha has simply made it impossible for him to get a regular run of games.
But with the 24-year-old Spanish international making the most of his recent opportunities, a start could be waiting for him this Sunday when Barcelona take on Leganes.
