Barcelona’s heavy Copa del Rey defeat to bitter rivals Real Madrid came as a shock to fans and Xavi will seek to recover quickly with a strong performance at home to Girona on Monday.
Despite sitting 12 points clear at the top of the table, the Catalan side will be focused on preventing a complete capitulation in order to seal this season’s LaLiga Santander title.
Girona will travel to Camp Nou off the back of a 2-1 victory against Espanyol. They find themselves 11th in the table and seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Girona‘s injury list hasn’t diminished much, though, with the likes of Borja Garcia, Joel Roca, Alexander Callens, Yangel Herrera and Ibrahima Kebe all set to miss Monday’s tie.
