Chelsea are set to liven up the transfer market in the winter transfer window.
In the wake of the London club’s crisis, the man who has been behind so many of the Blues’ attempted moves appears to be stepping back from the post he took on when he arrived at Chelsea following Roman Abramovich‘s sale of the club.
Todd Boehly was the main instigator of Graham Potter‘s arrival and Thomas Tuchel‘s departure from Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, his first since buying the club.
According to The Telegraph though, he is stepping back from the buying and selling role.
Chelsea have also been the most active European side in the winter transfer window.
After the arrivals of Benoit Badiashile and Andrey Santos, the signing of Joao Felix by the London outfit seems imminent.
All these moves have taken place in the context of Chelsea‘s poor form: 10th in the Premier League, eliminated from the FA Cup at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and with the difficult task of beating Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the Champions League to come.

The Blues are his first experience in the world of football.
