Pep Guardiola has conceded that Manchester City probably won’t win the 2022/23 Premier League title, after his side fell to a 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday.
The loss leaves the Sky Blues five points behind Arsenal, but with one more game played.
“I don’t care about the Premier League and the Carabao Cup, we cannot win,” Guardiola said in a post-match interview, speaking with a lot of sarcasm throughout.
“We won a lot, so it’s not a problem.
“We haven’t been performing as we can, but today we did perform.
“In general I have no regrets.
“I don’t care if we don’t win the Carabao Cup or the Premier League, we’ll try.
“I don’t care when a team performs how we play. It was quite similar to the many, many years we’ve been here.
“There are plenty of points to play for and we have to play there. In every game we have to perform.
“We always play in these sort of games and in others we struggle a little bit.”

“Marcus Rashford is offside, Bruno Fernandes is not, but Rashford distracted our keeper and centre-backs,” Guardiola said.
“It is what it is. I know where we play. It is difficult for the referees in these stadiums.”
