Inter Milan are ready to hold on to Roma target Davide Frattesi tightly after his standout performance against Lecce yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi has been at the centre of transfer rumours all throughout the January window.

Reportedly, the 25-year-old has grown unhappy with his lack of playing time. Therefore, he has pushed for a move to a club where he’ll feature more regularly.

Frattesi reportedly hopes for a move to Roma. And the Giallorossi are targeting him.

For their part, however, Inter are not going to be easy to convince on a sale of Davide Frattesi.

The Nerazzurri have always made clear that the price tag for Roma would be €45 million.

Meanwhile, from Napoli Inter would want at least €70 million. They have little intention of strengthening a direct title rival.

In the meantime, Frattesi started against Lecce yesterday.

And the former Sassuolo midfielder really made the most of that opportunity. He scored Inter’s opening goal, and also won a penalty.

Therefore, Frattesi has certainly underlined his value to the Nerazzurri.

As such, the Gazzetta report, Inter are going to dig in their heels more than ever. Unless Roma make a big cash offer, they have absolutely no intention of letting Frattesi leave.
