Juventus are set to finalise the last few details of goalkeeper Mattia Perin’s contract on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after his impressive display against VfB Stuttgart in the Champions League, which included a late penalty save while the scores were still at 0-0.
Juventus finalise new Perin contract
According to reports from multiple outlets, including Corriere dello Sport, Juventus representatives will meet with Perin’s agent on Wednesday and hold a meeting in Turin.
Alessandro Lucci, Perin’s agent, has already landed at Caselle airport and is due to hold a formal meeting with the Bianconeri in the afternoon.
According to Wednesday’s reports, Perin will put pen to paper on a new deal that will run until the summer of 2027. The stopper’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Though Juventus spent money on Michele Di Gregorio over the summer, Perin has impressed when given an opportunity this season.
The 31-year-old has started in two out of Juve’s eight Serie A matches so far, plus two appearances out of three in the Champions League, although one of those came after Di Gregorio’s red card against RB Leipzig.
