Jurgen Klopp remembered Arsene Wenger after Liverpool‘s draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (0-0).
In the space of a week, the German has taken a few swipes left and right. First it was to Chelsea, their opponents, claiming that Liverpool couldn’t do things the same way as Chelsea in regard to their spending.
This time, it was after criticism of his team’s display in the goalless draw with the Blues on what was his 1,000th match as a coach.
The German recalled how Wenger fared in his 1,000th match: “I heard Arsene Wenger lost his 1,000th game 6-0 so I’m really happy that didn’t happen,” he said.
A share of the points, on the other hand, does not help them in their goal of reaching the Champions League.
The match Jurgen Klopp is referring to dates back to 2014, when a Chelsea side led by Jose Mourinho hammered a struggling Arsenal 6-0.
