Actor Marlon Wayans was kicked off a United Airlines plane in the United States on charges of “disturbing the peace.” At 50 years old and remembered mainly for his work in the comedy White Chicks (2004), the comedian used his Instagram account to deny the accusations that motivated his expulsion from the aircraft.
Wayans claimed that he had an argument with a flight attendant over the size of his luggage. He claimed that the airline employee reprimanded him for going with excess baggage, with some suitcases larger than allowed inside the plane.
United Airlines, new sponsor of Wrexham AFC
On June 8, United Airlines announced that it is the new title sponsor of Wrexham AFC, for both the men’s and women’s teams, beginning with the 2023/24 season.
As part of its extensive partnership with Wrexham AFC, the United Airlines name and logo will feature on the front of the Club’s home, away and third kits.
Co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds unveiled the new 2023/24 home shirt and the new United Airlines sponsorship in a video posted on social media.
How could this incident affect Wrexham?
After the incident Marlon Wayans called for a boycott of the airline, but what will his colleague Ryan Reynolds, who has money invested in the team, think, apparently people did not pay much attention to Wayans’ request, so nothing will happen with the sponsorship of the English team.
Reynolds and Wayans will have a chance to settle this difference sometime. Wayans has praised Ryan’s work in Deadpool, so apparently there will be no problems between the two actors.
