The relationship between Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos has always been more than just cordial. Since the Spanish defender landed in Paris, he has always been on good terms with the young French star.
There have been express trips to Madrid, photographs and important conversations on the pitch. It’s clear the pair are very good friends, and both looked out for each other on and off the pitch.
With the departure of the Spanish center-back, Mbappe has lost one of his strongest supporters in the dressing room. The Frenchman reacted to Ramos’ return to his hometown of Sevilla on Monday, showing his affection for the former Real Madrid captain.
“Good luck, my friend. The king is back,” Mbappe posted on his social media accounts.
Sergio Ramos has been waiting for the call from Sevilla throughout the transfer window. After rejecting an offer from Saudi Arabia, the defender didn’t want to end his career without this last chance to make things right with the Andalusian club.
“Fate has given it to me. I return home 18 years later. It was not only a debt I owed to myself but also to my family, to my grandfather, who made me a Sevillista since I was a little boy, to my father and to Puerta”, explained the Sevillian on his arrival.
