On Thursday, RMC Sport reported that Achraf Hakimi has extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029. Despite the rumors linking him to Real Madrid, the 26-year-old will stay in the French capital for a long time.
The Morocco international’s current deal was set to expire in 2026, but two more years have been added. The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana reported in June that the Morocco international came through Los Blancos’ youth system.
Real Madrid reportedly had Hakimi on their radar because of his favorable contract situation, which the La Liga side could exploit when his deal previously expired in 2026.
Achraf Hakimi had no plans to reunite with Kylian Mbappé
Le Parisien reports (h/t Le10Sport) that, despite rumors about a potential reunion with Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, Hakimi quickly reassured PSG’s management. As a result, he’s set to sign a contract extension, ending the process that started with initial talks in March.
Since joining PSG in 2021, Hakimi has made 133 appearances across all competitions, scoring 16 goals and recording 22 assists. Furthermore, he’s won three Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France trophy, and two Trophée des Champions during his four years in the French capital.
