Claudio Ranieri will have to do without both Paulo Dybala and Artem Dovbyk for Roma’s Serie A test against Monza at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday evening, which brings a rare starting opportunity in the league for Eldor Shomurodov.
You can follow the action as it unfolds on the Football Italia Liveblog.
Dybala is among the substitutes after lining up as a starter and putting in an heroic performance in the 3-2 win against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday night. Dovbyk is still out with an adductor issue and is not in the matchday squad.
That means that there is a youthful attacking pairing of Matias Soule and Tommaso Baldanzi behind Shomurodov up front.
The rest of the Roma team is relatively familiar. Gianluca Mancini, Mats Hummels and Evan Ndicka start as usual across the front three with Alexis Saelemaekers and Angelino at wing-back.
Niccolo Pisilli and Bryan Cristante start in midfield, with Lenadro Paredes and Manu Kone among the substitutes.
Kick-off is due at 19.45 GMT.
Roma (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, Hummels, Ndicka; Saelemaekers, Cristante, Pisilli, Angelino; Soulé, Baldanzi; Shomurodov.
Monza (3-5-2): Turati; Lekovic, Borsson, Carboni; Pereira, Ciurria, Bianco, Urbanski, Kyriakopoulos; Mota, Ganvoula.
