The Red Devils prioritise a permanent transfer for the experienced midfielder, but it’s unlikely that they will receive considerable bids for the ex-Real Madrid star, so a loan move remains on the cards.
Roma already signed versatile full-back Devyne Rensch from Ajax this month and are also looking for a backup striker for Artem Dovbyk, given that Eldor Shomurodov will likely join strugglers Venezia.
