Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric left a waitress a tip of 10,000 euros after a visit to a Munich bar. The event came just days before Burnley secured promotion as the gap in the standings invited optimism. Vincent Kompany‘s side sealed automatic promotion to the Premier League with a 2-1 away win over Middlesbrough.
According to Bild, the goalkeeper spent around 36,000 euros. All this money was divided between 40 bottles of Dom Perignon champagne, 10 bottles of Armand de Brignac champagne, four bottles or Moet & Chandon Nectar, another demi-sec champagne and bottles of Chivas Regal.
The beneficiary of that tip revealed in the German media that “Muric invited the entire bar: doormen, DJs, wait staff, even the bathroom attendant.” In addition, the waitress commented that “he was a very nice and helpful guest. He created a great atmosphere”.
The goalkeeper signed for Burnley last summer, after a spell at Manchester City, in exchange for 2.5 million euros.
Next season, following the promotion of the club coached by Vincent Kompany, he will be reunited with his former club in the Premier League, although Muric had already celebrated the promotion before it happened.
