Thiago Alcântara has announced his retirement from football.
The former Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder announced his decision after 15 years playing at an elite level.
I will always be willing to give back what I have been given and I am grateful for the time I have enjoyed it.

Thiago won a combined 22 major honours, including two Champions Leagues, and made 46 appearances for Spain between 2011 and 2021.
But the 33-year-old’s final years were beset by injury, restricting him to just a solitary appearance for the Anfield club last season.
