World No.1 Iga Swiatek will meet Elena Rybakina in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
Swiatek – who’s clear favourite to take out the opening Grand Slam of the year – has come into the match-up with a full head of steam.
Having not dropped a set thus far, the 21-year-old will hope to continue her strong form against the Kazahk on her way to redeeming last year’s semi final loss.
However, Rybakina will not be an easy beat, taking a lot of confidence from her round three win against 13th seed Danielle Collins.
The 2022 Wimbledon champion isn’t tipped to knock over Swiatek but will give herself every chance to cause an upset.

Iga Swiatek vs. Elena Rybakina form and betting trends
Swiatek’s lead up to the Australian Open has been nothing short of impressive.
The world No.1 made the semis at the WTA finals tournament in November last year and took home the title from the San Diego Open.
The Polish tennis player also added her second and third Grand Slam titles in 2022, winning on clay at the French Open and on the hard court at the US Open.
Swiatek made the semi final of the Australian Open a year ago, but fell to America’s Danielle Collins.
The 21-year-old is in tremendous form to begin the 2023 season and is yet to drop a set in the first three rounds.
Looking at the other side of the net, Rybakina comes into this match-up with a lot of confidence, knocking over 2022 finalist Collins in the third round.
The Kazahk was very active in last year’s tennis season, featuring in 27 tournaments in the last 13 months.
Included in her run was Wimbledon, where she took home the Grand Slam against Ons Jabeur in three sets, her only major title to date.
Only 23 years of age, Rybakina has built a sound foundation to start climbing the rankings and a victory of the world No.1 would be a terrific start.
The pair have only met once before in 2021, where Swiatek claimed the victory.

Iga Swiatek vs. Elena Rybakina preview and prediction
This highly anticipated fourth round match up has a lot of eyes focused on the result.
The winner will likely face American Coco Gauff in the quarter finals but Jelena Ostapenko shouldn’t be discounted.
Swiatek’s early dominance at the Australian Open has her as raging favourite to advance to the next round – and overall winner – having not dropped a set so far.
The world No.1 also looks like she hasn’t raised a sweat, taking an average of an hour and 26 minutes to defeat her opponents.
Whereas Rybakina, who faced Danielle Collins in the third, has had more battles on her hand in the lead up to this match.
The Kazahk will need to bring her A-game against the Pole if she’s any chance to advance to the quarters.
