Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner meet in a battle of future Grand Slam winners in the Australian Open fourth round.
The Greek third seed, who is yet to drop a set, is the top-ranked player remaining, with Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud already eliminated, while he is the only Grand Slam finalist in the top half of the draw.
Sinner, seeded 15th, is a highly-talented 21-year-old who didn’t drop a set in his first two matches, before coming back from two sets down in his third contest.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Jannik Sinner form and betting trends
Tsitsipas – the French Open 2021 finalist – will be a strong favourite for the match considering his experience and ranking advantage over his Italian opponent.
The Greek star has also won four of his five matches against Sinner, only dropping a set when the 15th seed defeated him at Rome in 2020.
Tsitsipas has reached the semi-final three times at the Australian Open previously (2019, 2021, 2022), being defeated twice by Daniil Medvedev and once by Rafael Nadal, with both players already eliminated in 2023.
Being the only finalist in the top half of the draw means world No.4, Tsitsipas is second-favourite to win the entire tournament behind Novak Djokovic, however defeating Sinner will be no easy task.
The Italian is a future star, having reached the quarter-finals at every Grand Slam in his career, but never having gone further.
Sinner has been threatening to break out like current world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz for a number of years, but is still waiting to reach the last four or beyond at a major.
He has six ATP titles but in terms of big tournaments, his deepest run was the final of the Masters 1000 in Miami 2021, where he lost to Hubert Hurkacz.
Sinner did struggle to overcome Marton Fucsovics in the third round, coming back from two-sets-love down.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Jannik Sinner preview and prediction
Tsitsipas’ time has come to win a Grand Slam.
With Nadal, Medvedev and Ruud already eliminated, Alcaraz absent with injury and Djokovic having fitness issues, there is never going to be a better time to win his maiden slam.
Despite being in the tougher half of the draw, featuring Sinner, Feliz Auger-Aliassime, Seb Korda, Hubert Hurkacz and Karen Khachanov, the Greek star is favourite to progress to the final.
Sinner will be a tough opponent to overcome, but Tsitsipas’ prior superiority will give the Greek confidence he can progress to the quarter-finals.
The Italian has nothing to lose against an opponent favoured to beat him, with all the pressure likely on Tsitsipas.
Sinner was close to a breakthrough win at a slam last year, losing a quarter-final to Djokovic at Wimbledon after being up by two-sets-to-love and then at the same stage against Alcaraz at the US Open, across five sets.
Unfortunately, he will likely fall short of quarter-final best at Melbourne Park, with Tsitsipas on a mission to reach his second major final.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in four sets.
