WWE RAW’s move to Netflix is almost here, and quite a few announcements have been made for the debut show such as Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa, John Cena’s appearance, Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship among others. It’s going to be one of the biggest nights in the Stamford-based promotion’s history.
In the past few weeks, there have been talks about superstars being shuffled around to ensure both brands have a power-packed roster from January 2025. Coming to the women’s division of WWE RAW, it seems that it has been carried by the Morgan-Ripley rivalry for a while. It would be a fresh change of pace if Triple H added a twist to the feud and introduced a new face. Interestingly, Tiffany Stratton still holds the Money in the Bank briefcase.
The popular speculation is that The Buff Barbie will cash in on Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship. However, in a shocking turn of fate, the 25-year-old star can cash in the contract on WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix during Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan to become the new Women’s World Champion.
Stratton has been receiving positive audience engagement from the WWE Universe, and fans might enjoy her run as a top champion of the women’s division. Furthermore, it will open up avenues for new faces to emerge as challengers rather than having the championship move back and forth between The Miracle Kid and The Eradicator.
The main event for WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix announced
The pro-wrestling juggernaut is preparing for a blockbuster night, and for that, the main event needs to be an absolute entertainer. The majority of the WWE Universe expected Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa’s Tribal Combat to be the main event, but the company announced CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins as the debut show’s main event.
The Visionary and The Second City Saint’s heated rivalry took off at Survivor Series 2023 when Punk returned to WWE. The former World Heavyweight Champion had a massively negative reaction towards it, and both superstars have constantly taken shots at each other ever since.
This match has been long overdue, and the WWE Universe is in for a treat. Both superstars are expected to bring their top-notch A-game to the ring, and deliver a classic.
