WWE WrestleMania 41 will air live from Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and April 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is the company’s biggest show of the year and will feature several major matches.
John Cena is scheduled to compete at his final WrestleMania event this year and will be retiring from in-ring competition at the end of 2025. There have also been several marquee clashes rumored for the premium live event later this year.
Listed below are four matches that have been rumored for WrestleMania 41:
#4. John Cena is rumored to battle Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 41
Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL last year. The American Nightmare has had an impressive title reign so far and defeated Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event last month in his latest title defense.
Meanwhile, John Cena made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank 2024 and announced that he would be retiring from in-ring competition at the end of 2025. It was recently rumored that Cody Rhodes and John Cena are scheduled to battle at WrestleMania 41 this year in Las Vegas.
#3. Gunther is rumored to defend his title against Seth Rollins at WWE WrestleMania 41
Gunther is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and successfully defended the title last month in a Triple Threat Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The leader of Imperium defeated Finn Balor and Damian Priest at the special event last month to continue his title reign.
According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, Seth Rollins is set to square off against The Ring General for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE WrestleMania 41. The Visionary previously held the title but lost it to Drew McIntyre at The Show of Shows last year.
#2. Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk has been rumored for The Show of Shows
CM Punk agreed to team up with Roman Reigns and his squad in the Men’s WarGames Match at Survivor Series in exchange for a favor from Paul Heyman, which has not been revealed yet. Reigns pinned Solo Sikoa in the bout to pick up the victory for the OG Bloodline and will be squaring off against the 31-year-old in a Tribal Combat Match next Monday on WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix.
According to a recent report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the company had been discussing a potential match between Punk and Reigns at WrestleMania 41. The two stars have an interesting history, and may potentially battle on The Grandest Stage of them All later this year.
#1. The Rock could battle Roman Reigns
The Rock made a surprise appearance at WWE Bad Blood last October. He showed up after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa in a Tag Team Match. The Brahma Bull stared down both Rhodes and Reigns from the entrance ramp and made a cutthroat-like gesture before walking away.
There had been rumors that The Great One would not be appearing at The Show of Shows later this year, but The Rock shot them down. If The Final Boss were to appear at WrestleMania 41, it would make sense for him to finally battle Roman Reigns.
The two stars were supposed to face each other at WWE WrestleMania XL, but those plans were changed due to fans pushing for Cody Rhodes, the winner of the Royal Rumble, to face The Tribal Chief on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
