The new year is just a few hours away, and with it comes many more incredible WWE moments. The year 2024, was nothing short of special, but 2025 could have a lot more to offer.
In particular, the month of January is one that WWE fans around the world will be most excited for. The first month of the year typically features a number of events that come with several returns.
Some of these returns may be expected, while others might come out of the blue. The point is that January is when the fans need to be on the lookout. Because there is no telling when and where in this first month a superstar could make an unexpected return.
But, while there is no telling when these returns could happen, it cannot hurt to wonder who will make a comeback next month. So, without further ado, here are four WWE returns to expect in January 2025:
#4. The Final Boss’ return to the company seems imminent
One major return the WWE Universe will surely be expecting soon is that of The Rock. The Final Boss made his presence felt for the first time since RAW after WrestleMania XL at Bad Blood but hasn’t been seen since. With that in mind, it feels like it’s just a matter of time before he makes his return.
January could be the month for it. After all, there are a few storylines in progress right now that could be greatly affected by The Rock’s presence. Whether it’s Roman Reigns vying for the Ula Fala or Cody Rhodes being turned on by everyone he once called a friend. Now, is the perfect time for The Brahma Bull to come back.
#3. Becky Lynch could re-sign with the WWE very soon
Another superstar the fans haven’t seen in quite a while is Becky Lynch. That being said, she has not left the minds of anyone in WWE. After all, even CM Punk recently made note of her disappearance following King and Queen of the Ring. So, perhaps January 2025 is the month The Man makes her return.
Not only is she a part of the advertisement for RAW’s upcoming move to Netflix, but there are plenty of ways she can inject herself back into the fold. She could get involved with her husband’s feud with CM Punk, or even look to win back the Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan. There is a lot for her to do.
#2. Randy Orton needs to settle the score with Kevin Owens
The WWE Universe will still have the sight of Kevin Owens Piledriving Randy Orton firmly etched in their memory. The Viper hasn’t been seen since the heinous attack, and in his absence, quite a storm has ensued. All of it revolves around Orton’s kayfabe injury, so his return could heat things up even more.
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens are scheduled to go head-to-head at Royal Rumble 2025, and while that is in February, Orton could make his presence felt a little earlier and throw a wrench in the existing plans. The big question is whether he chooses to settle the score with KO, or, potentially shock the world by turning on The American Nightmare.
#1. Charlotte Flair has already begun teasing her return
Last but certainly not the least, is Charlotte Flair. The Queen is the superstar on this list who hasn’t been seen for the longest time. The last time she stepped into the ring and performed in front of the WWE Universe was in December 2023. So, it’s safe to say the fans would love to see her make a return.
The best part is that Flair herself has already started hyping up her impending comeback. She has been teasing a return for quite a while now, and from the looks of it, she has one goal for 2025: getting back to the very top of the mountain.
So, perhaps she will give herself as much time as possible to reach the pinnacle and make a blockbuster return in January.
