4 WWE RAW stars who could move to SmackDown tonight

WWE SmackDown and RAW will start the new year with major changes. Aside from network changes and episode format, some personnel changes are also expected. With this in mind, some stars may find themselves on a different roster soon.

In preparation for WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere, it was announced a couple of weeks ago that the three brands of the Stamford-based promotion will have a transfer window, which will allow the General Managers of the brands to mix up their roster. With this in mind, it’s possible that Nick Aldis will lose some stars on SmackDown but will have room to welcome some more.

For this list, we will look at four WWE RAW stars who could move to SmackDown tonight.

#4. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn had a remarkable 2024 as he challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship, and defeated The Ring General at WrestleMania XL. He eventually feuded with Bron Breakker, dropping the title not long after. Zayn targeted the World Heavyweight Championship held by the Austrian star but failed to capture it.

Zayn has since been involved again in The Bloodline’s storyline, and it looks like he might continue to be a part of it after he was attacked last week on SmackDown by Solo Sikoa’s group during a match with Carmelo Hayes. With this in mind, he will likely focus on Bloodline business on the Friday show.

#3. Damian Priest

Damian Priest was also one of the WWE RAW stars who had a great 2024. He cashed in the Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania XL to win the World Heavyweight Title and defended it against Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, and more. However, it may be time for him to move to a different environment.

Priest has kept his eye on the World Heavyweight Championship for the past few months but The Judgment Day continues their attacks on him, especially Finn Balor. Damian moving to the Friday show can give him a fresh start and find himself some new rivals.

#2. Chad Gable

Chad Gable broke away from Alpha Academy last year. Many were intrigued about the feud between Chad and his former group, but he was instead involved with The Wyatt Sicks which led to him forming American Made with The Creed Brothers. Gable picked up the feud with Alpha Academy in late 2024 again, and it seems like it’s time for him to move on again.

Chad breaking away from The Creed Brothers can help him and the group. Brutus and Julius can explore the tag team division further while the former Tag Team Champion can feud with other superstars on SmackDown. He still has a lot to explore as a singles star, which might even bring him some success.

#1. Some members of The Judgment Day can move from RAW to WWE SmackDown

The Judgment Day hasn’t been on the same page lately, especially with Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, sometimes even with Liv Morgan. Due to this, the inaugural Universal Champion can go behind his group’s back.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, The Prince can reveal that he requested to be transferred after weeks of frustration with his group. In this way, it can somewhat prolong his eventual feud with The Judgment Day while focusing on rebuilding himself as a singles star.
