While pro wrestling is seeing another period of boom with WWE reaping the benefits, some superstars might still not be lucky enough inside the ring. Vince Russo recently expressed his frustrations over talents like Piper Niven and Ludwig Kaiser not getting wins.
WWE entered the Netflix era last week with a star-studded episode that featured multiple special appearances from legendary names. It was business as usual on the follow-up show this week as the current superstars were more involved and stories moved along.
Ludwig Kaiser unfortunately suffered a defeat at the hands of Sheamus and the outcome seemingly didn’t sit well with Vince Russo.
During Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo argued that WWE wrongly doesn’t reward its “best performers” and he singled out Piper Niven and Kaiser as superstars who have been victims of the damaging booking.
The former head writer stated that there were many superstars currently on the roster he wished received more support from the company and wouldn’t just be losing every time they wrestled on TV.
“And bro, I’ve got to tell you, two of the best performers in that company, they just freaking job out, man! It’s Piper Niven on SmackDown and it’s Kaiser on RAW. Like, my gosh bro! Does nobody there see anything in either one of these people? Like, seriously? You’re going to put Sheamus over?! Where are you going with Sheamus? You’re going to bring Butch back? I don’t understand this. Piper Niven and Kaiser are excellent performers and they never get a crumb thrown their way.” [From 30:00 onwards]
WWE has a lot of television time to fill following its recent changes and while more talents get chances in front of the cameras, many would also hope to secure a few consequential wins along the way.
