Hulk Hogan received a lesser-than-warm welcome reception on his WWE RAW appearance, right on the first Netflix episode of the red brand. A former star of the Stamford-based promotion, EC3, shared his thoughts on the matter recently.
While the Hulkamaniac has contributed to the pro wrestling industry in more ways than one, his fanbase has gotten more divided over the years. Certain allegations against him, coupled with his political affiliations, have turned some devout fans away from him. However, his status as one of the biggest names in the business is undeniable.
Speaking on Sportskeeda’s UnSKripted, EC3 was asked about his thoughts on why Hogan was booed on WWE RAW this week. The four-time 24/7 Champion stated:
“To be fair, booing is contagious and it’s kind of fun, especially when you are realizing there’s an awkward situation developing. It’s changing perhaps the choreographed, planned reactions everybody had. I mean that’s the deal with live TV and the deal with a live audience, it’s like they determine how they are gonna react, and they pay money to be there, so more often than not, they have that right.” [14:15 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen what Hulk Hogan will do next, and if another appearance may be on the cards.
