Seth Rollins is set to square off with CM Punk on January 6 on WWE RAW’s debut on Netflix. WWE analyst Sam Roberts suggested a former WWE champion could return on the show to reunite with The Visionary.
While Rollins continues to appear on the red brand, his wife Becky Lynch left the promotion earlier this year after her contract expired. However, the former Women’s World Champion was spotted in the Netflix trailer for RAW, leading to speculations about her potential return.
Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts wondered if The Man would show up on the January 6 episode of RAW to reunite with her husband. The 41-year-old pointed out that although Lynch and Rollins working as a unit on television did not live up to expectations a few years ago, RAW’s debut on Netflix could be the time to revisit that alliance with a different presentation:
“Is Becky Lynch gonna show up? I don’t know. I mean, I wouldn’t advocate for Becky and Seth being a unit in general just because the last one I don’t think was as successful as people might have wanted it to be. But maybe now’s the time. Maybe there’s a different presentation. Maybe there’s a different way of doing it,” he said. [20:02 – 20:21]
CM Punk took a shot at Becky Lynch on WWE RAW
Last night on RAW, CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a final war of words before their anticipated clash on the red brand on January 6. The face-off saw the two superstars take several massive shots at each other.
When The Visionary questioned Punk’s departure from the Stamford-based company in 2014, the latter referred to Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch, asking if she too had taken her ball and gone home. The former World Heavyweight Champion responded, saying that his wife was taking a break to raise a kid.
It will be interesting to see if Lynch indeed returns next Monday on RAW to help her husband.
