Former Universal Champion Finn Balor missed the opportunity to settle his rivalry with Damian Priest on RAW on Netflix tonight. The Judgment Day member lost to The Punisher in a Street Fight in the main event of the show.
It was a brutal match, where Balor almost left the match on a stretcher but eventually came very close to winning it with help from The Judgment Day. However, interference from the Tag Team Champions, The War Raiders, allowed Damian Priest to regain control and defeat his former Judgment Day partner.
That said, the question is what the future holds for the former Universal Champion, who has lost nearly everything on RAW over the past few weeks. Finn Balor failed to dethrone Gunther, and he and JD McDonagh lost the World Tag Team Titles to The War Raiders. He also lost to Damian Priest again tonight.
With tensions mounting in The Judgment Day, a move to SmackDown could be a way out for him and the opportunity he needs to make a fresh start. Balor could part ways with Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez and move to the blue brand with the new version of The Judgment Day.
And once he does that, he could challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The latter will put his title on the line against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble.
What is next for Damian Priest on RAW after victory over Finn Balor?
Damian Priest likely put an end to his feud with Finn Balor following his victory in the main event of RAW on Netflix on Monday.
Thus, The Punisher will now move on to his next storyline, even though it is not clear yet what plans WWE Creative has for him. The most likely scenario is that he will declare for the Royal Rumble, even though he is not the favorite to win it.
Aside from that, he could go after Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship, aiming to reclaim his title. At the same time, he could also challenge Bron Breakker and get a shot for the Intercontinental Championship against one of the top heels in WWE.
