A former WWE Superstar recently opened up about the possibility of returning to the company after her last appearance 47 months ago. Victoria, who last appeared at the 2021 Royal Rumble, answered questions about a potential appearance on SmackDown later this month.
The two-time Women’s Champion was a surprise entrant in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match. It was her first appearance on WWE television since being released in early 2009. She also signed a Legends contract with the global juggernaut in August.
With her new deal, fans are curious whether she would return to television in some capacity. During a live signing on Whatnot, a fan asked her whether she would show up on SmackDown on January 19 in San Diego, California, where she currently resides.
Victoria explained that she didn’t want to bother the company for tickets, which was something that she had never done even for WrestleMania or other big events.
“See, the thing with me (…) when I go to the shows, I don’t ask for free tickets. I like to support the product but, I’m not one to bug and go, ‘Hey, can I come to the show?’ I think someone said, ‘Hey, do you get free tickets on WrestleMania?’ I go, ‘Absolutely not. Are you kidding me? I wouldn’t even ask. I wouldn’t ask. I’d be embarrassed,'” Victoria said. [H/T: POST Wrestling]
Victoria’s run began in 2000, signing a developmental contract with WWE. She trained under several promotions such as UPW, Power Pro, MCW and OVW before being called up to the main roster in 2002.
Victoria confirms what’s in her WWE Legends contract
In the same live signing on Whatnot, Victoria opened up about the Legends deal she signed with WWE. The legend confirmed that she would be part of future video games, and she would have merchandise such as Funko Pops and action figures.
“I got a Legends contract. They call it Nostalgia contract. So, I’ll be getting more product. They’re gonna be making more product of me. But, not for nine to 12 months. That’s how long it takes to create. (…) I can use the WWE logo, I can use ‘Victoria’ on my [advertisements], which is incredible and, you know, that’s my home and I’m just very proud to be a part of the company still,” Victoria said. After her departure in 2009, Victoria signed with TNA Wrestling and spent four years there. She won the TNA Knockouts Championship five times and was a one-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion with Brooke Tessmacher.
