The Bloodline dominated WWE as a group before going on their own adventures following WrestleMania 39. Recently, Jey Uso announced his goal for 2025, which was to win a World Championship. However, he received mixed reactions from the fans.
Last year, Jey Uso won the Intercontinental Championship and became one of the few stars from his illustrious family to hold the belt. Many expected this to be the start of Main Event Jey’s rise to singles fame. However, the reign ended in less than a month, and Uso reunited with his brother for WWE Crown Jewel and Survivor Series: WarGames.
After Main Event Jey’s claim to capture a World Championship in 2025, some fans were positively behind him and his goal for the year. However, it also garnered a large number of negative reactions, as many believed superstars such as Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens deserved it more, and some were worried about the potential reign based on his last singles run.
“If Jey Uso won the World Championship, it would instantly become a midcard belt,” one fan wrote.
“Ehh.. I’d say that’s a 40% chance of happening,” another fan wrote.
“As someone that finds Jey USO very entertaining, he’s mid card talent at best in the ring. Someone try and challenge me that his WrestleMania match with Jimmy was good or reign as IC Champ was noteworthy,” one fan said.
“Absolutely not, Jey is a top Mid carder at best, he isn’t a better wrestler then some of the others that deserve title runs, and he certainly does not deserve it over Drew and KO,” another fan wrote.
Major WWE star issues a warning to The Bloodline, including Jey Uso
Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens were the biggest victims of The Bloodline when the group initially gained a footing on Friday Night SmackDown. While The Prizefighter is taking out his frustration on Cody Rhodes, The Scottish Warrior isn’t done with the faction.
During the holidays, the two-time WWE and former World Heavyweight Champion uploaded a video on X where he mocked all members of The OG Bloodline and issued them a warning heading into the new year.
“A Christmas present from my family to yours…Drew Actually,” McIntyre wrote.
Moreover, McIntyre is set to go one-on-one with Main Event Jey on WWE RAW when the show makes its Netflix debut on 6 January 2025.
