Josh Alexander was set to compete in his “last-ever” indie show tonight. However, he is now missing from the show.
Josh Alexander has been one of the top stars in TNA for quite some time. He made a name for himself as part of The North with Ethan Page. However, when they broke up, Alexander pursued a singles career and found success by winning the Impact World Championship twice. Apart from this, Alexander has also competed on the independent circuit for various promotions.
He was set to compete tonight at Prestige Wrestling’s Roseland X event in Portland, Oregon against Kevin Blackwood. This was supposed to be his last-ever indie show as he had announced last year that he would not be taking any more indie bookings for the foreseeable future. However, he is still under contract with TNA until the end of February. Hours before the show could begin, Josh took to social media to announce that he would be missing the show due to travel issues.
“Sadly, I cannot make it to @WrestlePrestige tonight for what would have been my last indie match for the foreseeable future. This one’s completely out of my hands. Due to international travel issues, I cannot appear tonight. I’m as disappointed as everyone else. That being said, @WrestlePrestige has a wild card planned & is consistently one of the best promotions in the world.”

Josh Alexander is open to signing with WWE
Josh Alexander is set to become a free agent when his contract with TNA expires at the beginning of February. Given his in-ring skills, this will make him a sought-after prospect by many major promotions including AEW and WWE. However, at this time, the former Impact World Champion has not given any indication about his plans.
During a recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Josh Alexander said that he is open to signing with WWE. He suggested that he could reform his tag team with Ethan Page or even face Gunther.
“I’m looking at everywhere right now, like. Both my sons are wrestling nuts, especially my six-year-old. So, Monday is RAW, Tuesday is NXT, Wednesday is Dynamite, Thursday is Impact… I’m watching the product, looking at NXT being like, ‘Man, me and Ethan could tag up and we can face that tag team, that’d be awesome.’ I’d really love to have a match with Pete Dunne or Gunther, the list goes on,” said Alexander.
It will be interesting to see if Josh Alexander will sign with WWE after his contract with TNA Wrestling expires.
