Wrestling fans were surprised to see a former WWE star’s newest look at a recent event in Texas. Bobby Fish sported a gray beard at the latest Major League Wrestling taping, with many not recognizing the two-time NXT Tag Team Champion.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by The Ringer‘s Cameron Hawkins, Fish had his previous bald look changed to a different appearance. The 48-year-old veteran seemingly embraced his age and let his natural gray hairs show in his beard.
With more than 178,000 views and counting, wrestling fans were in disbelief at how old Bobby Fish looked. Some even compared him to Breaking Bad character Mike Ehrmantraut, played by actor Jonathan Banks, as well as AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.
“Since when did Mike from Breaking Bad start wrestling?” a fan asked.
“Dude’s aged faster than Moxley,” one fan claimed.
“Why did bro age 100 years since I last saw him?” another fan asked.
“When did Bobby Fish turn into Paul Ellering?” a fan questioned.
“Bro is one of the people who moved the rock that Jesus was buried to,” another fan joked.
“Is that Bobby for real? He aged faster than Moxley and Keith Lee together,” one fan commented.
Bobby Fish currently wrestles for Major League Wrestling, returning to the promotion last year. Fish spent some time there initially after getting released by WWE in August 2021.
Bobby Fish once opened up on Undisputed Era’s success in WWE
While Undisputed Era was officially never called up to the WWE main roster, they will go down as one of the greatest factions in NXT history. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, and Roderick Strong made a tremendous impact on the developmental brand for more than three years.
Speaking on Under The Ropes back in March last year, Fish opened up about UE’s run in NXT.
“Working with those three in NXT was more than we could’ve ever asked for, to be honest. So, when that came together the way it did, it truly became, we were working hard and that’s what we all wanted to be: we wanted to be the workhorses of that brand,” Fish said. [H/T – WrestlingInc.]
Cole, O’Reilly, and Strong are under contract in AEW, while Fish returned to MLW last year.
