A popular WWE star recently suggested that Big E was the only talented member of The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods betrayed their former stablemate on the December 2 episode of RAW.
Last night’s edition of WWE RAW was the final episode of the red brand on the USA Network. Wade Barrett called the action with Joe Tessitore and took to Instagram to send a message following the show.
The former Intercontinental Champion noted that he would be on the post-show with Big E next week following RAW’s debut on Netflix. He added that the veteran was the only talented member of The New Day.
“Thanks for the memories #WWERaw on @usanetwork. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the @netflix debut next week. @michaelcole & @patmcafeeshow, you’re up 👊🏻 @joetess & I will see you on the Raw debut post-show along with the ONLY New Day member who had ANY real talent, @wwebige 🍻,” he wrote.
Rey Mysterio kicked The New Day out of the locker room after they betrayed Big E. Mysterio and a member of the Latino World Order are set to battle Woods and Kingston in a tag team match next week.
WWE legend doesn’t think Big E wants to wrestle full-time anymore
Wrestling veteran Teddy Long recently stated that he did not believe Big E wanted to become a full-time wrestler again.
Speaking on Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, the Hall of Famer noted that the 38-year-old likely did not want to wrestle every week again. Long suggested they could have him compete with a mystery tag team partner against The New Day.
“I wouldn’t doubt it – there’s a good little story there with Kofi & Xavier. He could start with Xavier and get that win over him. Then comes Kofi right there, and drops him. Now, Xavier comes up and they both beat him to death, man. I don’t think he wants to do full-time anymore but then you could take Big E and get him a mystery partner and have a tag team. Now you have E going up against his old team.” [From 07:50 to 08:25]
