Solo Sikoa’s run as Tribal Chief ended on the January 6th edition of Monday Night RAW. In what was the red brand’s premiere on Netflix, Sikoa faced Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match. This bout was won by the latter, who also claimed his status as Tribal Chief as a result of this victory.
Now that Sikoa has lost and is no longer the Tribal Chief, he could very well fall prey to something he once did. On the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the former NXT North American Champion could get a taste of his own medicine as the Tongans and Jacob Fatu could attack him.
For those who have forgotten, after WrestleMania 40, Solo Sikoa attacked Jimmy Uso and said losing had consequences. Sikoa’s revolt against Reigns was also because the latter lost at WrestleMania 40. Similarly, since Sikoa lost on RAW this week, the Tongans and Jacob Fatu together could attack him.
This would lead to Sikoa being ousted from the faction, thus getting a taste of what he once did to Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso. While the mentioned angle is highly speculative, the chances of it happening are high since Sikoa ended up disappointing his teammates with a loss.
Ex-WWE star comes to Solo Sikoa’s defense after loss against Roman Reigns
Solo Sikoa’s run as Tribal Chief and until the match on RAW this week was nothing short of phenomenal. However, after his loss to Roman Reigns on RAW’s premiere on Netflix, a section of the WWE Universe felt the 31-year-old superstar had been buried by the Stamford-based promotion.
However, the one man who does not agree with this take is ex-WWE star A.J. Francis (fka Top Dollar). On X, Francis reposted a tweet that claimed Sikoa had been buried and shared his thoughts on the matter. He wrote:
“As someone who has definitely been buried, this is a bad take. Losing a match to the biggest star in wrestling on the biggest most watched show in Wrestling History isn’t even close to being buried 😂”
You can check A.J. Francis’ tweet below:
While it may seem like Solo Sikoa has been buried by WWE, that’s far from true. At 31, Sikoa has many years ahead of him, and losing to Roman Reigns is no shame. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what the immediate future holds for Sikoa, and whether he is able to win a World Championship at some point.
