WWE is wrapping up its first full year under Endeavor’s TKO Group and entering into what looks to be another wildly successful period for the company. With fan and locker room morale seemingly on the up, officials are optimistic about 2025 and WrestleMania 41 season. Sources are now revealing one reason why the wrestlers are happy.
Current and former superstars have all agreed on at least one thing over the years, and that’s the grueling WWE schedule. The daily grind is not as intense as it once was, but superstars continue to put the majority of their time into their work while still wrestling a few matches per week. The Stamford-based company has increased its international expansion in recent years, which means more overseas tours and additional travel for all three rosters.
World Wrestling Entertainment currently has no live events scheduled until mid-March when it launches the Road to WrestleMania tour, and this is going over very well in the locker room. Fightful Select adds that main roster superstars are very happy about the easy start to 2025.
The first non-televised live event on WWE’s Road to WrestleMania tour is set for Saturday, March 15, in Dortmund, Germany, but the first tour stop is actually scheduled for March 14 in Barcelona, Spain, for a SmackDown taping. This 12-date excursion includes multiple RAW and SmackDown TV tapings and will wrap on Monday, March 31, at The O2 in London, England.
The full schedule will likely be updated in the near future with non-televised North American dates as TKO President Mark Shapiro recently revealed drastic plans for WWE’s overall bottom line. However, the company will operate on a reduced schedule in 2025, with plans for around 200 live events. This is down from around 300 in 2023 and around 250 this year.
